FAQ

Webmail is email you can access from any web browser — like Gmail or Outlook.com, but at your own domain. Because Beacon Mailboxes uses IMAP, your mail also stays in sync across email apps and mobile devices: read it on your phone, and it shows as read on your computer.

Yes — and if you need shared drives, Docs, or Teams, you should. But those plans start around $7–8 per user per month, and many small businesses never use most of it. Beacon Mailboxes covers professional email, calendar, and contacts at $3.

Through the client hub at beaconwebgroup.com/hub — sign in, click Webmail, and choose your account. You can also connect any email client (Outlook, Apple Mail, mobile apps) via IMAP; setup details are in the hub, and we’ll help if you get stuck.

Yes — add a CalDAV (calendar) and CardDAV (contacts) account on your device using your email address and password.

Yes — mail is filtered by spam and virus protection before it reaches your inbox.

To prevent spam, sending is limited to 500 emails per day per mailbox. There’s no limit on receiving. (Sending a newsletter to a list? That’s Beacon Broadcast, not your mailbox.)

Beacon Broadcast is our managed email marketing platform — newsletters and campaigns to a subscriber list (not your day-to-day inbox). We handle setup and list sending; you don’t need a separate Mailchimp-style account.

Yes. For Broadcast (and for Site Mail), we configure the authentication records your domain needs so marketing and form messages authenticate correctly and are less likely to land in spam. That’s separate from Beacon Mailboxes DNS (MX for receiving mail).
